Norway and China Partner to Cut Methane Emissions

Norway and China have signed an agreement to reduce methane emissions from livestock and waste management, contributing to global climate goals. The initiative, running from 2024 to 2027 with a budget of 15.6 million NOK, aims to support China’s carbon neutrality by 2060 and improve air quality. Methane, a potent greenhouse gas, accounts for 30% of global warming since the industrial revolution. This collaboration will enhance knowledge, develop strategies, and provide policy recommendations to curb emissions effectively.
